How do I book an appointment?

Do I need a consultation first?

For any extensions work, yes, and it's free. I need to see your hair in daylight to match colour properly, check the density at the root, and work out how many grams you actually need. It takes about twenty minutes and there's no obligation to book anything after it.

Where is the studio?

The studio is a private room at my home in Peterborough. There's off-street parking and the full address comes through on your booking confirmation.

How far ahead should I book?

Fittings tend to go two to three weeks out because they're long appointments, a full head of nano beads is most of a day. Maintenance and blow dries are usually easier to fit in. Saturdays go first, so book those early.

What's the difference between nano beads, weaves and tape?

Nano beads are individual strands fitted through tiny rings, the most discreet, and the best option for fine hair or if you wear it up a lot. A weave is a weft plaited and sewn in flat, which suits thicker hair and spreads the weight well. Tape sits in sandwiched pairs, is the quickest to fit and the easiest to move up. We'll work out which suits your hair at consultation.

Will they damage my hair?

Not if they're fitted at the right tension, matched to your hair type, and maintained on time. Damage comes from bonds left in too long, weight the hair can't carry, or being pulled out in a hurry. That's why I'd rather turn work away than fit something your hair won't take.

Is the hair included in the price?

No, the prices on the services page are for fitting only. The hair itself is quoted separately at consultation, because the amount depends on your length, density and how much thickness you're after. I'll give you an exact figure before you commit to anything.

How long do they last?

The bonds need moving up every 6–8 weeks as your own hair grows. Good-quality hair itself usually lasts 6–12 months with proper care, and tape and weave hair can often be reused at a refit if it's still in good condition.

How much does it cost?

Every service has its price and duration listed on the services page. Fittings start from £180 and maintenance from £120, plus the hair, quoted at consultation. No surprises at the end.

Why do I pay a deposit?

A 25% deposit secures the slot. It comes off the final bill, and it's what makes it viable for me to hold a four-hour fitting for one person. The consultation is free and needs no deposit.

How do I pay the balance?

A payment link will be provided upon your confirmation. This is for the purpose of spreading payment costs which will need to be set up or paid by your appointment. Pay on the day in full by apple pay or direct bank transfer is also available as an option.

Are gift cards refundable?

Gift cards are non-refundable but transferable, and valid for 12 months from issue.

How should I come to a fitting?

Clean, dry and with nothing on it, no oils, no leave-in conditioner, no dry shampoo. Bonds won't grip properly on product. If you're due a wash, do it the day before rather than the morning of.

Should I get my hair coloured first?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you're planning to. Colour your own hair before the fitting so I can match to the finished shade, and so you're not putting colour anywhere near the bonds afterwards.

What should I bring?

Photos. Even ones you don't like are useful, knowing the length and thickness you're aiming for, and what you want to avoid, tells me as much as anything.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

I ask for 48 hours notice. Cancel with more than that and everything you've paid comes straight back. Inside 48 hours, or if you don't turn up, the 25% deposit is kept and anything you've paid above it is refunded, because a long appointment held for you at short notice can't realistically be filled. Genuine emergencies are always handled with care.

What if I'm running late?

Message me as soon as you know and I'll do what I can. Past about 15 minutes on a fitting I usually have to rebook, because there isn't slack in an appointment that long.

What if something isn't right?

Tell me. Get in touch within seven days and I'll put it right at no charge, a bond sitting uncomfortably or a section that needs reblending is a quick fix. I'd genuinely rather sort it than have you live with it.

Can I bring my children?

The studio is small and fittings are long, so it's safest if little ones stay home where possible.

How do I look after them?

Brush from the ends up with a proper extensions brush, twice a day. Tie it loosely before bed. Keep conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends, never the bonds. Use a sulphate-free shampoo and always dry the roots properly, damp bonds are what cause matting.

Can I still use heat?

Yes, with heat protectant, and keeping the irons away from the bonds themselves. Real hair extensions take heat much like your own, but they don't repair themselves, so they show damage sooner.

How often do I need to come back?

Every 6–8 weeks for a move-up. Leaving it longer is where matting and tension damage start, so I'll book your next one in before you leave.
